Inviting God for Direction in Our Lives - 1 Jan 12

Fr Steve Voyt

New Year's is always about rebirth, new chances, new beginnings, that's why we always celebrate it.  We always say, "Last year wasn't so great but the coming year is going to be better."

We always have hope, that is one of the things that Saint Paul tells us.  There are three things that last:  Faith, Hope and Love.  That Hope is that God is part of our lives and, with that power, things can always become better.

As we come together on New Year's Day and on the Solemnity of Mary, we also call to mind all our hopes and desires for this coming year, on how we want God to be part of it, and how we hopefully become instruments of His will.
