Last Week of Preparation for Christ Our Savior - 18 Dec 11

Fr Steve VoytFourth Sunday in Advent

The fourth candle in our Advent wreath is lit, decorations are up, time is running short.  Our time of preparation is coming to an end.  As they say in the song, "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas."  But we're not quite there yet, we have one more week to reflect and to allow ourselves to truly get prepared  for the coming of Christ into our lives.

Today's Gospel is all about risks.  Think of the faith and risk of Mary and Joseph.  Do we have the faith to say "Yes" to God like Mary and Joseph?  This is what Advent is all about.  What can we do to be more open to God's plan for us?
