Today's readings talk about people who had a certain emptiness, a longing to be filled, but didn't know how to fill it.
In today's society there is also a spiritual hunger, particularly in the United States. Many have all the physical things they could possibly want but remain unhappy and unfulfilled. Fr. Voyt explains that this emptiness or void is a spiritual hunger that isn't being filled.
Fr. Voyt also explains how God is constantly calling to us but many are not listening. He explains why it's difficult to hear God.
